Our Mission is to provide an environment that is safe, secure and supportive, which helps people help themselves to become the healthy, balanced, effective and productive person they were created to be. We provide a place where people can find answers and grow personally, allowing them to find rest from weariness, loneliness and/or pain.
A Safe Harbor recognizes the tremendous power of today’s peer group pressure. We provide people with a positive 12-Step based support system that challenges any type of self-destructive or self-defeating action, which we substitute with love, acceptance and mutual accountability. Our focus is serving young people/adults and their family members by sponsoring a comprehensive support system of fellowship, weekly support group meetings, gatherings and activities with healthy friends through an alternative peer group of companionship and encouragement.
A Safe Harbor’s vision is to be a comprehensive support system in the community by providing education and support for individuals and families who struggle with drugs, alcohol, addictions, eating disorders, depression and the effects of sexual and physical abuse. Our services will also provide support to those (such as Fire, Police and Military personnel) who have been traumatized by job related events.
